Yes, it’s true, The Heroes is today’s Amazon.com daily deal which means that FOR TODAY (14th November) ONLY lucky Americans can swoop upon the Kindle edition for the cutting-my-own throat daylight robbery price of $1.99. No, that’s not a misprint. One dollar ninety-nine cents. That gives you … let me see … thirty-two violent deaths per cent.
It shouldn’t be legal. But it is. Only for today…

Aaargh! Not available in Europe! That means I will end up making you richer!
Personally, I think you’re selling yourself way too cheaply ;-). And I would love to be able to give you many times this amount, if only the extended ebook were ever to appear…
A good deal. I already have it in hardcover but for that price I picked it up in ebook format as well. I hope to see other books following such a pricing point at some day and hope that there is a boost high enough in sales to warrent some experiementation on the price.
That’s complete Bananas, you’ve clearly gone insane, i’ve called the white jackets to take you away!
Joe,
Would you receive more money if I were to buy a regular version or would it go solely to the publisher? I’ll probably get this but I’d much rather dole out the extra ten to twelve for the physical product. Authors have bills to pay too.
Jacob,
Not sure of the mechanics of this particular offer. Usually ebooks are a pretty good earner for authors, but when they’re this heavily discounted I can’t imagine I’m raking it in from each sale…
Yoink!
I’ve been eyeballing it for the past month since finishing the trilogy. Thanks for the heads up.
Seems way too low….
32 violent deaths per cent…so 6,368 were killed in The Heroes?
Hell!
Phil,
You’re right, that is a little low. More like 78 deaths per cent.
Paul – it’s not essential but I would read best served cold first….
aaagh i missed it by one day!!!!
sonofabitch – I missed by a day!
FFS, this sort of thing should be emblazoned 15 feet tall or something. Instead I read about it the day after. Possibly you may want to update this thing more often, to reward return visits … 😀
Sucks it is not on nook as well, but that also means it was Amazon’s choice to discount, which means you should get royalty on wholesale price.
Joe “Cut-Me-Own-Throat Dibbler” Abercrombie, eh?
I ck these amazon deals every day & saw Heros & thought sounds good & bought it. For those of u who think poor Joe lost money buy offering this deal, let me correct your thinking by saying i have now bought (@ full e book price) every book he has published & am now stalking this blog for info on upcoming releases. Thanks for offering the deal & congrats on another US reader plumping your pockets!
