Action

June 7th, 2013

Thought I’d put up the progression on another page from the First Law Graphic Novel.  Logen had long ago stopped looking for fights, but they seemed to find him with depressing regularity even so…

Here are the pencils, and the jagged panels give that feel of action and danger:

Inks:

Colours, and I like how Pete’s picked up the motion lines in the background of the 2nd and 4th panels and given them a real sense of speed and movement:

And, indeed, you can see the finished, lettered page in situ at www.firstlawcomic.com right now….

Thoroughly enjoying this adaptation, can`t wait for more.
Not sure if I`m missing something from the previous page, what`s with levitating penis to the right of the horse in panel 3? I don`t remember it from the book, is there an edition I don`t know about? If it`s just artistic licence, GREAT! How about something for the boys, Barbarella anyone?

    Keep it up ………..The work!

Snicker. Sometimes a bedroll is just a bedroll.

I’m loving this and showing it to all my friends. You may have answered before, but will it ever be available in print?

Oh shucks, of course, a bedroll! Thanks for putting me straight. Easy error to make, just finished reading Richard Morgan – The Steel Remains (Joe Abercrombie blurb on the cover), contains much more penis fencing than I`m used to, now I`m seeing them everywhere. GOOD SOMEBODY`S GOD! Look, another one!…….. Ooops, my mistake, that`s mine. Note to self: Must remember to wear clothes when posting comments.
